My DD is 12 weeks now and at 5/6 weeks she was having 6oz's 5 times a day and in the past couple of weeks she has slowed right down to having a 7oz bottle when she wakes up roughly around 8am and having 4 bottles of 4 to 5 oz's last feed around 9.30pm. my HV put it down to a growth spurt!!

Lana takes anything between 30 & 42 oz's per day, just depends

yesterday was a hungry day, today she is feeding less lol

How do you do it! i'm nackered!! he constantly wants feeding, and then wants more, hes so hungry he won't sleep!

Earl would take anything up to 56oz a day, 7oz bottles at 2.5 hour intervals, at 8 weeks. I tried him on Hungry baby milk but he actually ended up eating more

Sounds like a spurt to me too, he'll probably have a sleepy day or two then calm a little. However, even now Earl is 20 weeks, weighs about 20lb, eats 35oz a day on average (39 yesterday) and has 2 meals a day! During his last growth spurt he had 3 weeks of 49oz a day!

My advice, try him on 7oz bottles, feed him what he wants, maybe try the HB milk as it may help a little, but please don't worry about the 'guidelines' on the amounts.....Earl at 8 weeks weighed 14lb, so should have been on about 32, but he's not overweight. You can't overfeed on milk....so just enjoy all the cuddles and he will calm diown soon.

I Think hes going through the sleepy phase now! all hes done all day is sleep, then wake up for a feed, be awake for half a hour, the sleep again! and hes been really clingy, can't put him down for his naps like he was doing, had to have him on me! not that i'm moaning, i love that he wants me
