Night time bottles

Apologies if this has been asked before...I did a search but couldn't find anything!

What did/do you do for those middle of the night bottles? I'm thinking the easiest way is just to grab a bottle from the fridge and then put it in the bottle warmer for 5-10 minutes... but am curious to read how others went about it. Is it possible to do it without getting out of bed? lol
Thanks

It is possible to do it without getting out of bed. Just get a coolbag, or if you know anyone with one of those mini fridges you could put that in the bedroom. My DH told me he had one in the loft after me using a cool bag for 2 months

You could also try the Lindam Day/Night feeding system (the sell it in Argos), although I've heard mixed reviews on them.

Ooh interesting! I may see if I can find one of those Lindam systems on eBay for cheap - £30 seems like a lot when I already have a bottle warmer which could easily be moved into the bedroom at night time. They do look rather good though. I wonder if they fit Dr Brown's bottles?

ETA Just found one on eBay and the seller said she can fit 2 Dr Brown's bottles in there, so that's good!

i get my bottle straight out the fridge and stick it in the bottle warmer. it means coming downstairs, but i guess you could use a mini fridge and do it at your bed side. xx

When we were feedin thru the night, OH used to do the nightshift so I never had to get outta bed
Seriously, when he wasnt doing the nightshifts, I'd take a bottle of pre measured cooled boiled water, a dispenser of pre measured powder and our Tommee Tippee bottle warmer (thermos type) and do it that way. Worked well for us at the time and the only reason I'd have to get outta bed was to get Evie out of her crib lol!

5-10 min wait for bottle to heat?? I am guessing LO would have woken you up crying to be fed- 5-10mins is a long time to wait. I have kettle with little water in- boil it up then put bottle in for less than a minute. I leave my bottles out at room temp - add powder when ready to feed.

Yeah I'm used to just whipping out a boob so am trying to keep things as quick and simple as possible!

Emms is in her moses basket right next to my side of the bed so I usually hear her getting restless before she wakes up enough to cry. Hopefully she will be able to hold out 5 mins whilst the bottle warms up. I'll give it a try anyway. It sure is easier getting her back to sleep if she hasn't fully woken up in the first place! Otherwise I may experiment with flasks, bowls of cold water and pre-measured powder! As with everything else it will be trial and error I think.

i never waste time with a bottle warmer - kettle and a jug in tons quicker

i use cartons of milk as well, so warming slightly from room temp is quicker than warming from the fridge

we've got one of those mini fridges and a little travel kettle by the bed, by far the most useful and helpful things we've got!

I wash and sterilize my bottles in the morning, boil the kettle and put 3 1/2 oz in each bottle. When I need to make a feed I add fresh boiled water to make up 5oz. Means you kill the bugs in the powder and its the perfect temp.

So to answer your question, I just boil the kettle, add powder and away we go!
