How you make up bottles....

I'm interested to see just how many people make their bottles in a certain way.
Since switching from BF I have done what it says on the formula box and made each feed as I need it. But since seeing my friend yesterday she told me she makes the bottles with water in the morning for the whole day, keep them at room temperature and add the powder as each feed is needed. Makes it far easier really!

Just curious to see what you all do...

I do it the same as your friend. My best friend recommended this to me when I started FF Evie, and it works great for us

I don't do what your friend does as I wouldn't add powder to water less than 70 degrees. I make them all up in the morning, quick cool and store at the back of the fridge I then heat to room temp when she wants a bottle

Today I have decided to try it like this just hope Joshua won't mind the bottles at room temp, but then again he has had the ready made cartons before at room temp and liked it.
I think if this works out ok then it will make my day much easier!

I make them all up for the day and store them in the fridge.

I tried other ways, a lot of other ways, and this worked best for us.

I don't do bottles anymore but when I did I would make them up with water and keep them at room temperature and then just add the powder as I needed it. Much easier and lot less time with a screaming hungry baby while you're waiting for the water to cool!

I do this. It's what my hospital recommended. Adding the powder to cool/room temp boiled water isn't hot enough to kill any bugs that could be in the powder so they recommend to make them, cool quickly and then store in back of fridge xx

I agree, that's why I do it this way...

Boil the water and add to bottles for the whole day. But say I am making a 5oz bottle, I will add only 3 1/2 oz and then top up to 5oz with fresh boiled water when I am ready to add the powder for a feed. Quick, easy and kills the bugs whilst having a warm bottle (great way to do it for babies that don't like room temp bottles).

couldnt agree more... it is so much easier to do it this way because doing it how the bottle suggests takes such a long time and by the time its ready Josh would scream the house down!! and its a lot easier to do this with Riley to look after too!!
