We had such trouble with Similac--that's what the hospital gave our little one because she was SO hungry and my milk hadn't come down yet and after 6 weeks of breastfeeding, we went back to Similac...and seriously, it was the worst for her (and for us!). She had very painful gas and was constipated, to boot. Poor little thing--we got no sleep, and she was in such a miserable state. I ended up on Nestle Good Start. I asked a lot of mom's and all of them recommended I try the Good Start, based on personal experience, or from a sil or sis or something.

It was like night and day--and I never bothered looking for anything else because she was just so happy (and so were mom and pop!)

With the Similac Sensitive is it a thicker formula - if I decide to try this one will I need to use different nipples? I thought that is what someone told me a while back (before I was pregnant- so wasn't really paying too much attention at the time)

Megan is on regular Similac and has issues with gas & constipation but the issue I am concerned with is more her spitting up all the time. Wondering if a switch would help with this.

I have a sample of Similac Sensitive & of Enfamil - which one do you think I should try???

when i switched to similac sensitive from similac advance, i didn't have any problems with the nipples. the only big difference i notice is that it's more bubbly in the bottle when i shake it up to mix it... but he can still get it out of the same nipples just fine

I bet the RS version is the one that you have to change nipples for - after reading from the wedsite (thanks miel!). It contains rice starch so would probably be thicker. I'll have to try it out.... thanks girls!

Exact same thing with my daughter. I will be starting my babies off with Good Start again right from the beginning. My daughter had colic very badly due to acid reflux and the Good Start was the only one that wouldn't make it worse and that she could drink it all. (and it didn't smell when she spit up).
