Hungrier Baby Milk.....

What are the risks of moving Theo from SMA Gold to SMA White? He always seems to be hungry, he'll polish off 5oz of Gold, then about an hour half later he'll cry for more.....its mainly in the morning and night and he can drink upto 10oz if he wants top-up....

SMA Gold - SMA White......are they the same? Could it upset his stomach...

He does nothing but whinge at about 10am and 6pm, he goes absolutely mad at his dummy, then spits it out..

Any advice would be great ladies...thankyou xxx

Will he only take the 5oz or will he take a bigger bottle at these times? Maybe he's trying to get more through the day so he can drop a night bottle?

I don't think it would hurt to slowly introduce hungry baby milk and see how he goes for a week or two if you think thats what he needs.

Not really sure what else to suggest as I've had these thoughts aswell and had similar issues with my LO recently, but I didn't wanna read and run x

How much are you making each feed? If your only making 5 oz i would up to 6 oz each feed.....like faille said he might want to drop a bottle but needs the extra elsewhere to do so. It seems my Jac is doing this at the mo' as he's gone from 6 to 5 feeds today and had 5 feeds with a 2 oz top up before bed yesterday....and i've upped his oz from 5 to 6 this week.

not being funny but your hv should never have told you that hun its really dangerous to do this, it make the milk far far too concentrated. can make babies very dehydrated and constipated, sheeeesh what stupid hv to tell you that report her fast.

rosie went onto hugrier milk at 3 weeks and rhys was 7 weeks i alternated the bottles for 2 days and then carried on from there

Never put extra scoops in to less amount of water,so dangerous.
That HV needs reporting.

I had this problem with my first DS and moved him onto hungry baby milk and he was much more content after that.
My third son is doing the same thing so I may move him onto hungrier baby milk as he is never satisfied,or rather it takes a lot to get him to fill up.
