Hospital Formula Milk- which to use

My hospital apparently use SMA and Cow and Gate on the maternity ward. Is there any major difference between the two with regards to protein, fat, vitamin levels etc or are they much of a muchness?

Personal preference ...If your using one or other when you are home then that one would obviously be better x

I think SMA has slightly more Iron than C&G and therefore some people find their babies get constipated more on SMA. Doesn't effect my boys that way though and they've been on both C&G and SMA (now on SMA). From personal experience, my boys seem to prefer SMA, as they are more relaxed when feeding and guzzle a lot of it compared to C&G!!

I got given a choice of loads, its quite daunting when you werent prepared to ff. They don't recommend any to you either as not allowed you have to choose. Its good you are researching first. We picked SMA

We chose C&G as that's what we had at home.
