Slow Cooker! - Recipes Anyone?

After being at Imis I've decided to buy one - I lie I managed to get my OH to agree to buy one tonight haha Didn't even have to flutter my eyes! He must be ill!

Anyway I use to buuy stuff like this for the kitchen only they never got used but Imis told me how easy they can be & a lazy way - I like lazy

I love stews but haven't bothered in sooooo long - I hate making em in pots so little preperation sounds good to me ...

Has anyone got any nice slow cooker recipes?

Used mine tonight for a beef stew. Onions and carrots in with stewing steak, then add a pint of beef stock and a tin of chopped tomatos. I left it on low all day when I was out and it was ready for 5pm. Added dumplings and left for another 40 mins. Tasted fab - and Seren ate loads.

these are in the other thread too

Beef Stew

Amounts to suit your family/likes

Diced stewing beef
onions chopped (quite chunky)
Carrots
leeks
swede
potatoes
mushrooms
Packet mix of favourite beef stew mix
several beef oxo cubes

Remove excess fat/sinew from beef, plonk in slow cooker (I don't brown the meat beforehand)
Cut up veggies fairly chunky add to pot
make mix as per instructions on packet, add to pot
mix oxo with boiling water and add

mix thoroughly

turn on low, leave for 6 hours+ (we usually leave the house at 6am and eat at 6pm) meat just melts in the mouth.
