Dried beans (money saver)

I was watching a program and never thought of this before...

I buy dried beans on a regular basis so that I always have "fillers" for casseroles I need to stretch but they can take a while to be ready to use. The program suggested buying the dried beans, cooking them right away when you get home (or when you have time) and then freezing them so all you have to do is thaw them (or add right into stews/ casseroles)

That's a great idea, though I've never thought about freezing beans...well, I guess that's not true because I freeze bean soup after I've made it in the crock pot, but never thought of freezing them "fresh". Good one!
