cooking......i have no idea

well im 17, never really cooked anything but toast ect..
and i would really like to learn how (especcially now because im pregnant) but my mum won't teach me how to cook & well my dad we don't get on at all so i avoid him

so any ideas on how i can learn?

Have you thought about enrolling in some cookery classes?

Iv just played and played in the kitchen till now im a pretty confident cook

Take some basic principles, start simple and as you get used to doing a dish as simple as possible you can crank it up a notch every time.
Iv got a cupboard full of dried herbs i play with...think about what u think when ur eating a meal...what u like/dont like...tastes that work well together...like pork and apple or chicken and thyme and see what u can do with them.
For very very simple how to cook basic foods delia smith's learn to cook is brilliant...it takes u from boiling an egg to making rlly tasty family meals so id highly reccomened it

If u ever want ne tips or help regarding something in particular im always happy to help, i dont no it all but i like to try different things and im pretty solid on the basics
