Wanted: evening dress or ball gown

I have a ball to go to on August 1st and am looking for a dress.

It MUST be knee length or longer, and preferably not too low cut. Else they won't let me in

I am loathe to buy a new one as I'm losing weight, so hope you girls (and some ebay searching) could help.

I am a big 14/small 16 atm if that helps. I have four weeks until the ball, so could slim down to a proper 14 by then I think.

I wouldn't mind a 16 though, and could have it taken in.

I don't mind colours tbh, anything

Solid colours, more than patterns though. I love silky type fabrics, and nothing too close fitting as I still have lumps and bumps from having Niamh

Not sure what I'm looking to spend, it would depend on the dress and brand

Thought these were very pretty, plus they're light for summer, and a bargain! Not too much cleavage either!

This one is more a bridesmaids dress but i thought it was gorgeous lol

I have a black miss selfridge dress in my post in this forum, its a 18 but a small 18, would say more like a 16 at most, its really nice and looks lovely on..its BNWT as now im oregnant theres no way im gettin in it lol..if you are interested i can measure it for you..x

Same here!! I bought some in the sale the toher day even though i was telling myself i wouldnt wear them.... they are still sat with the tags on!!!

Oh my Mum has two gorgeous dresses to sell but they are a size 18

They were worn once for 2 hours each at a wedding and cost over £100 a pop - she only wants £30 / £40 for them as well.
