The following rules are in place for ALL members whilst using BabyandBump's Forum.

Overview:
BabyandBump Guidelines.

• The basic ground rules for discussions on BabyandBump are simple: be polite, use common sense, don't break the law and don't post any message that even hints at advertising.
• You are permitted a maximum of one account, active or inactive (including previously banned). If you choose to ignore this important restriction all your accounts will be banned. If you require a temporary user name for any reason, require a user name change, or have forgotten your log in details and are unable to retrieve them via the system, do not create a new account, please contact Admin using the 'Contact Us' link below.
• Opinions expressed within posts are those of the poster and are not the views of BabyandBump or its owners. You rely on such information at your own risk and are urged to seek professional advice for specific, individual situations and not rely solely on advice or opinions given in the discussions. We reserve the right to remove, modify or move posts at our discretion and without explanation. Please contact forum administrators using the 'Contact Us' link below if you do not understand any of the rules outlined below.
• Administrators and moderators assume members have read these terms and will not take ignorance of any rules as an excuse for not following the rules, policies, and guidelines outlined here and any forum specific rules.
• BabyandBump Administrators will have the final say as to what is and isn't a violation of the forum rules.
• By using this web site, you agree to be contacted by site administration, regardless of your account settings, when it becomes necessary to do so regarding your account activity.

General Forum Rules:
These rules apply to all Forum categories.

• We take the "Be Polite" rule very seriously! We do not tolerate rudeness, flaming or trolls. Any member who is intentionally unpleasant or disruptive may be banned without warning.
• Your account is yours alone. You are responsible for any activity created with it. You may not share your account login with anyone. If you choose to ignore this your account and any accounts associated with it may be banned.
• All publicly displayed messages are limited to the English language. This includes posts, titles, signatures, and any attachments or other forms of public display.
• Signature Spam (a post that was made in hopes of showing a signature, as determined by moderators) is forbidden in all forum categories.
• You may not post advertising, commission, referral or affiliate links anywhere on the forum. You may not link to sites whose main income is derived from affiliate or referral links.
• Posting the same message more than once is not allowed. Pick the one forum that best suits the subject of your post.
• You may not post on behalf of any banned member in any public manner. This includes all forums, private messages, signatures, and e-mail features.
• You may not post words or URLs that are censored by adding spaces, dots, or substituting characters; or by any other means in an attempt to defeat any censors put in place by BabyandBump. Please contact us if you feel a word or URL is unjustly censored.
• You may not link, in any manner, to sites or images containing pornography, sexually explicit, gross violence, or are determined by moderators to be detrimental to the community.
• You must make ten (10) posts before posting URL's. If you choose to make meaningless posts to avoid this restriction your account will be banned.
• You must make five (5) posts before using the PM and system e-mail features or viewing member profile information. If you choose to make meaningless posts to overcome this restriction, your account will be banned.
• Any posts that encourage illegal intent will be removed and your account banned.
• Public posts debating these rules and/or moderators' enforcement of such, will be removed without comment. We encourage feedback but request that you use the 'Contact Us' link below if you have any questions or concerns.
• Some forum categories have a "minimum post count" and/or "minimum length of membership" restriction before a member is allowed to start a new thread. Please read the Forum Description and the Announcement within if you get a permissions error while trying to start a thread. If you choose to make meaningless posts to overcome this restriction, your account will be disabled.

Signature Rules:
Rules to stop signatures from taking over the forum.

• Signature are available to members with 5 posts or more.
• Please keep your signature within 600 x 300 pixels (enough for 4 tickers on top of each other).
• No links to commercial websites, auctions/eshop†, forums, referral or affiliate links, unauthorised third party pregnancy & parenting resources.
• Signatures have been turned off in our ‘Miscarriage & Loss Support’ & ‘Problems Trying To Conceive’ forums. This decision was made for general consideration of members who may be experiencing hard times & may find the viewing of pregnancy tickers upsetting within these areas.

Donators & Contributors get VIP privileges. These rules are displayed on the Donators page.
† Active members with over 50 posts can post a link to their personal auctions/eshops in Buy, Swap, Sell & Wanted.

Privacy Policy:
What we do with any information provided when registering.

• BabyandBump recognizes that you care about the personal information that is held about you and how that is used.
• This privacy policy applies to all personal data, submitted by you, to the BabyandBump web site.
• By registering to BabyandBump you need to submit a chosen name and contact information, more specifically an e-mail address. No extremely personal information, such as Social Security or Credit Card numbers are stored by us.
• BabyandBump also stores and reads cookies to and from your computer. Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer's hard drive through your Web browser to enable our forums and general website features to recognize your browser for when you return to this web site. By using this website, you agree that both the webserver, and any trusted 3rd party we chose, such as advertising networks, may place a tracking cookie on your machine and access it at any time during your session. In general, cookies are safe and are not a security issue when being used from 'trusted' internet sites, such as BabyandBump. • All other information provided by you goes into a "public profile" and is entirely optional, all information held in that profile is held there at your own risk. This info is edited via your Control Panel in the forums.
• BabyandBump will take all reasonable effort to ensure that all personal information about you submitted is maintained secure on our server. However, we make no warranty to this.
• This site is intended for individuals over the age of 13. Any information collected is intended to be of individuals over the age of 13. According to COPPA, our site does NOT cater to children. "Operators of commercial websites or online services directed to children under 13 that collect personal information from children" require a COPPA agreement and privacy policy. Since we do not cater to this age group, no COPPA exists on BabyandBump.

We will not release any member information unless under court order to do so.

We reserve the right to null all privacy rights to members that fail to follow forum rules.

These rules apply to all of our selling & buying members

• NO ITEMS OVER £100 TO BE POSTED WITHOUT PERMISSION - BabyandBump is a family community & although this section allows you to trade with other members all items above £100 will be removed & you may be banned from this part of the forum for breaking the rules. If you would like to sell any child/baby related goods over this value please PM for admin approval (please clearly state the details of the item you wish to sell along with any photos that may be relevant). If you wish to sell anything over this amount that is not child/baby related then you are permitted to post eBay links NO ARRANGEMENTS THROUGH THE FORUM - BUY THROUGH EBAY ONLY! Break this rule you loose access to this area!

• BUYERS & SELLERS; you are responsible for the transaction. BabyandBump accepts no liability for any failed transactions and/or any other problems that may occur after a sale has been made.

• Personal details are exchanged at members own risk.

• SELLERS; if the item has been sold or is no longer for sale you are now able to lock your own thread. To lock your thread click on ‘Thread tools’ on the right of your post > at the bottom you will see ‘close thread click onto ‘perform action’.

• If we receive 2 complaints about a seller or buyer or we have any concern we will consider deactivating the named persons account on BabyAndBump.

Tips

• Proof of postage is a free service.

• Extra insurance for items over £20 is always recommended.
