I'm having a complete panic - potential dress emergency

Wedding is a week on Friday...

I bought the dress 2 days after we set the date, which was just 7 weeks ago. It was on the sale rack as there was obviously no time to order anything, and it was a size 16. It was too big, so I had a bridal seamstress alter it.

When I went for the first fitting, on Jan 30th, I had just started some emergency dieting, because the dress is strapless and I didn't like my arms (I had a good stone and a half left of baby weight to shift). When I went for the second fitting it was fine, even though I'd lost about 4lb. Now I've lost about another 7lb and I tried the dress on today and I am scared it doesn't fit properly round the top (the bust, really).

It won't fall off but it's not as snug as it should be and I should have expected this might happen and not lay off the chocolate but ... I didn't want to be fat in my wedding pictures. And I am happy in general about being only 10 or so pounds from my pre-pregnancy weight, and scared that if I frantically tried to regain it it'd all go to my face or hands or feet or somewhere else I don't need it!

What can I do? It's got a boned corset so it's kind of thick material and I don't know if it could be pinned. I was wondering if a good padded strapless bra would fill it out a bit and make it feel more secure? Does anyone have any experience of this sort of thing?

Ok don't panic! I lost over a stone 2 weeks before my wedding due to food poisoning and my dress didn't fit. On our wedding night, I didn't even undo it, just pulled it off, lol.

We ended up using safety pins which we used to pin the dress to my bra. I used LOTS of double sided tape too to keep it to me and wore full chicken fillets (from La Senza) in my bra. I still had enough room to shove a melon or two down there but it looked fine and no one noticed. Just don't reach up much

Oh, thank you so much! I am going bra shopping tomorrow and will also get some tape. I don't have any chicken fillets - hmmm might need to go to an underwear shop and ask advice.

And I *definitely* won't be reaching up much. I have a shrug/wrap that I need to keep my arms down to keep in place, so if I keep that on as much as I can hopefully there won't be any danger. Am still a bit scared of flashing though, as the dress is quite heavy as it has quite a lot of fabric in the skirt and train - will tape myself in...

Ha! I have plasters as well... now.

Got bra today, cream satin pushup multiway bra from M&S, almost looks like it was meant to go under a wedding dress as it practically matches (and so if any edges peek out it won't really be obvious). and thankfully it works and keeps me jammed right in the dress. SO RELIEVED.
