Are you changing for evening reception??

I have decided that as my dress is huge and quite heavy etc that it would not be too practical to wear all evening for the reception as it would be hard to dance etc in it, so im going to return home at 6 and get changed into a green cocktail dress which i will wear with my ivory faux fur shrug and that way i still look like a bride but can relax more :-)

what about everyone else??

x

No way........ I blew my buget on my cinderella dress so I'm wearing it for as long as possible!

Plus I'm always disapointed when I turn up to the evening do and the bride has changed. My friend done it at her wedding - I was late arriving and didn't see her dress.....I was gutted

yes there is that aspect but all our close family and closest friends will be there during the ceremony and wedding breakfast so most ppl will see me in my dress :-)

I may change my mind yet but at the mo id rather be able to enjoy a good dance etc at the evening x

Ive been debating this one too ...

I think the option im going to go for is wear my dress at the evening reception say until after the first dance and cutting the cake, and then change, so that way everyone does get to see me in my dress, then i can let off and be a bit more comfortable as mine is extremely heavy too

I won't be changing for the evening reception. I will however be bringing a t-shirt to put over my dress as there may be a very young baby there and I'd want to have a quick hold if I can! My dress isn't particularly weddingy anyway- it won't be any variation on white and will be quite light weight. Only the corseting might be an issue really!
