How many guests?

How many guests did you/will you be having at your wedding?

Not engaged yet but we talk about marriage.. when I'm not thinking about killing him

(jk). We will have over 75 at the reception and over 100 at the church if we get married here, if we choose to get married away it would be way less.. I can't cut any of my guest list as they're all first cousins + their partners, that list of 75 isn't even counting letting my single cousins bring guests, it's cutting off all of our cousins' children, and any cousins who are still in grade school..

The list isn't considering friends at all yet, or a bridal party unless my bridesmaids were all family members..

Its about 75 for the day (thats just close close family) then for the evening reception its standing at 140 so far.

We've had to really cut back our day guests as the room we want only hold 70, plus it means we have an excuse to cut out family that we don't want there. In the evening everybodies welcome as we're only paying £5 per head.

We consciously want a small, intimate do with our closest family and friends and it is ideal that our venue only holds 40 people.

No more for the evening, just 40 straight through which is perfect for us.

My wedding was rather large but I have a ton of friends and DH has a huge family. Our guest list was around 250 people. Most of which showed up.

It was amazing though at this beautiful country club ballroom that was lit by candlelight. Even with the huge guestlist it didn't seem any less intimate in my opinion.

we have 70 guests for the daytime and 120 for night time :-)
