Either hun. If you need it fairly quickly, just do it at room temp, then heat as normal. I tend to take it out the night before and leave it in the fridge until I need it. Don't defrost at room temp, the put back in the fridge. If I need it straight away, I run it under a cold tap. It's surprising how quickly it defrosts!!

Can milk be defrosted in luke-warm water?

I defrost in the fridge, but often its not fully defrosted by the time I need it, so I sit it in hot water and break up all the icey chunks.

When its defrosted (takes a few minutes, depending on how much, how frozen and how hot the water is) I refresh the water with more hot water to bring it up to body temp. This'll take a minute or two, it happens quickly! Remember to shake it well and check it on the under side of your wrist to get the temp perfect.

I would defrost in either water or in the fridge, if you leave it out at room temp long enough to completely thaw it could go bad

I warm Olivers, he prefers it like that. Some babies prefer room temp though, so just give it a go.
