bfing with a cold

I have a terrible cold. My throat is scratchy and it hurts to swallow, and I've lost my voice. I'm scared my poor little guy is going to catch it. I try to wash my hands often and not breath on him, but its hard when I have to carry him around and he's stuck to my boob half the day lol. He's 3 weeks yesterday, and I'm hoping he will get immunity from me and not catch it. Has anyone bf through a cold, and did your Lo end up getting sick?

The best thing to do is carry on breastfeeding, when you have an illness your body starts to build up antibodies to fight it off and these antibodies get passed, via your breastmilk,to your baby.If he does catch it it will be mild, but chances are he will be fine.
