Breastfeeding, Pregnant and Aspirin

So im still feeding my 11 month old and found out this week that im pregnant again

My problem is that in my last pregnancy I was taking aspirin due to two previous miscarriages. Noone seems to be able to tell me if it is safe to take this whilst breastfeeding. I haven't started taking it yet and am not seeing my gp till tuesday. I have rang the breastfeeding consultant at my hospital and she says that another option mite be better. The ante natal clinic at the hospital wont tell me one way or the other. Im scared that if I dont start it soon I'll miscarry again.

Does anyone have any experience or advice.

According to this, it's moderatively safe...

Hmm... I would be very careful. If you were fairly certain it was the only thing to prevent miscarriage, I might take it for the first tri. But I don't think I would take it after that. And if your doctor could give you something different that would be safer, I'd be carefully considering everything. I'd also take the lowest possible dose I thought I could get away with.

GL!

Are you taking it on the advice of your doctor?

Wow. This is a tough situation. Have you carried either of your older kids to term without aspirin?

How would you feel about weaning your LO off BF so you could take it without worry?

I did have two healthy full term pregnancies with my first two. Then i had a 9 week mc and my next pregnancy ended in a missed miscarriage at 19 weeks. The pathology on the placenta of my fourth pregnancy showed blood clot which could have been a factor in me losing my baby.

This is hard because I know my little boy is nowhere ready for weaning and although he is 11 months he is very much still a baby and is very dependant on me. I think to force wean him totally would be very stressfull. we partly co-sleep (he sleeps in the cot till he wakens and then comes into my bed) and he often still nurses at night.
