my milk-need some advice

i don't know what's it's called when i have so much milk in my boobies and LO doesn;t take out enough ,so now my boobies get really rock hard and it's painful.
should i pump it out? i'm not sure because i thought if i keep pumping out, it 's telling the body to produce more milk

I have the same problem, and I pump, though I have to pump away from her or she gets like possessive and suddenly wants to eat

It's engorgement. If you want you can express just enough to relieve the pressure, hand expression's quite good for this.

Express or pump when you're engorged then store it for top ups oe when you're not able to feed for some reason.

try to pump it out today but only got 1 ounce

You are right. If you keep pumping, your body will keep producing the excess. You could just hand express a little, if you are feeling very uncomfortable. Otherwise just give it a few days, your body will adjust quickly and start producing only what your baby needs.

i fed my baby with the side that i have engorgement a few times today and tonight its feeling better.
still feel a little comfortable though
