I used the Medela Symphony Double Breast Pump everyday for 4 months. I did try others and felt it worked the best and I had the most out put with it. I would rent that though. It also can be used in the car with a car charger-lol

I have a Medela Swing and I dont have any complaints other than the power cord CONSTANTLY falls out (design flaw), so you its a pain in the butt to reconnect it mid-pumping..

I only pump for the occasional bottle and I have the Avent manual pump. It works fine. I manage to get about 5 oz from a pumping.

I have the Medela Pump In Style Advanced backpack. Its the double electric, in a convenient backpack. It works really well, and every part is BPA free. It was a little pricey (but what is expected for Medela), about $300 US. I had bought the Playtex double electric pump right after Erica was born, and I hated it. I thought saving $100 was worth it, but it ended up taking the skin off of my nipples! Returned it with a Dr's note. If you are going to be pumping daily, and want one that will last for years, I'd go with the Medela.

I returned to work at 6 weeks, so started pumping at about 4 weeks. I have the Medela Double Pump in Style tote. It was pricey, but worked GREAT!! I was able to pump 12oz per sitting in less than 10 minutes. I have a small manual/battery one for when I would be on the road somewhere...it was okay and did what I needed it to do (relieve engorgement until I got to where I was going), but I was only able to pull about 4 oz total with it.

I have a tommee tippee manual pump and also a medela mini electric one. I get on well with both but find that the medela is noisy, so much so that I cant hear the telly over it!

I love my Medela Swing! Very fast and good output. Easy to use as well. Definitely recommended.
