Breastfed babies sometimes don't go for SEVERAL days (up to a couple weeks). It's very normal and natural. I wouldn't do anymore than what you already are to help her.

This has got to be frustrating for you, with everything else you've been working on... I'm sorry. Hang in there Super mum!

btw, have you altered the dairy out of your diet? I've been off a week now and notice some nice changes - not huge changes, but things seem a bit better.

ive never eaten much dairy anyway so i havent noticed any changes now ive stopped eating it. if shes not constipated then im not sure what is wrong with her! lastnight she fed for an hour and a half without stopping and then started screaming about 10min later. i bathed her, winded her (i had winded her every couple of mins whilst she was feeding) and tried moving her legs in circles but nothing seemed to calm her down. finally used the 'SHHH' method to get her to sleep but she was awake every half an hour or so in the night

You can try drinking lots of fresh orange juice yourself....the stuff with bits in as opposed to smooth is the best. I always drank Tropicana.

That usually gets LO 'going'!

That is defnitely a growth spurt! My boy is also having one (without constipation) and the dark circles under my eyes can testify to that!

I just posted a thread about this in the baby & toddler bit as well. Seth has been terrible the past few days, really crying. He's managed to have one poo tonight and thats it. Its so sad, I feel awful for him.

Hate to bring up the dread c-word, could it be colic??? Don't know much about that. If you think it is constipation, try massaging her calves and feet (pressure points for the bowels)- it worked like a charm when my son was a baby...he usually went within 1-2 hours.
