I'm Currently Feeling: | advice needed i plan to breast feed once baby is here but i am worried as my boobs haven't leaked at all during my pregnancy. Im just wondering whether this will prevent me from breast feeding once baby arrives and whether you all had leaking boobs when you were pregnant |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Mine hardly leaked at all when I was pregnant - just a tiny bit of colostrum a couple of times. I felt as if my milk was never going to come in for the first few days, but woke up on the 4th morning (I think) feeling like I'd had a boob job in my sleep! You'll be fine, don't worry. Leaking during pregnancy doesn't mean that you'll be any more successful at breastfeeding. While you're still pregnant, your placenta produces progesterone, which inhibits the function of prolactin (a hormone involved in milk production). Once you give birth and the placenta is delivered, progesterone levels drop, prolactin gets to work and a few days later you should have lots of milk!!

I'm Currently Feeling: | Mine never leaked at all....I was petrified I didn't have the ability to feed her, but 16 months on....still going strong, and am now training to help other bf women!
You'll be fine as long as a/ you have confidence in yourself......that is the bigggest key (remember....it is the teeny tiniest fraction of a percentage of women that physically never get milk) and b/ if you find it tough....ask for help! You'd be surprised how much is available. | | | | Status: Online

I'm Currently Feeling: | Mine never leaked at all during pregnancy. I was really worried too, but we have had hardly any problems whatsoever with feeding. Seth was on for 20 minutes within half an hour of being born.
Im sure everything is fine hun, good luck
