sleepy baby

My baby keeps falling asleep while feeding. I usually get about5-10 min of awake feeding then she's gone. I've tried to use cold cloths and blowing on her skin to help keep her awake. I alos strip her down to the diaper to feed. Is there another way to keep them awake?

Plus if I do wake her while on the boob sometimes it causes her to have hiccups? any way to stop them?

thanks!

Babies can actually eat in their sleep, it's called dreamfeeding. You'll find that it will get better as she gets that wee bit older, everything's very new and she's had to go through labour etc. Just lie down with her and plug her in and the both of you get loads of sleep - coz you won't be able to in 6 months or so lol
