Nursing cover-ups?

I'm preparing for breastfeeding and was wondering about nursing cover-ups. Do you use one and which ones are preferable? Bébé au Laits, Hooter Hiders or another? Thanks!

I use the bebeaulait/hooter hiders kind. I like the fact that I can look down and see whats going on and that I don't have to worry about it covering his head.

How does it attach around the neck? Is it easy to get on? Can you manage one-handed if necessary?

It goes on around the neck, kinda like an apron. I can take it off one handed but I've never attempted putting it on with one hand, I've always just sat him down really quickly on a blanket. They work great for when people are over or when you are at the park.

Hiya. Well done you for finding a solution that you feel comfortable with to feed your baby in public I remember in Mothercare, I just sat down in one of their on show rocking chairs, and fed there.... I go told to use the facilities !!! In Mothercare !!! Pants to em I say

I haven't clicked on the link, but is your cover the one with the neck strap and the bit that leaves an opening that you can look down at your baby through ? I really want one of these !! It's good to hear feedback

Let me know when you're selling it on

I actually bought one of these on ebay just before I saw this thread... I'm desperate to get out more but I'm scared of being looked at disapprovingly! I've also heard stories about people feeding in public and random people coming over to say how impressed they are?! As sweet as that is, I think I'd like to be covered up if I'm likely to be talking to anyone I don't know!

I think getting one (I like the ones that go around your neck so they can't pull them off) is good to have just in case. I have to say I'm a little of a bfing rebel (I've never been any kind of rebel in my life, so I figure this is a good cause), so I usually would feed my son in public without anything and dare someone to come say something BUT, my son did sometimes have problems with being distracted in public and not eating very well then- would suck for a minute, then pull off to people watch and so on...so having a cover handy was useful for helping him pay attention to the task at hand....LOL!
