I just bought one of these to get started with. I'm hoping it works out well enough for us. I'm hoping I won't need to express much, just for the occasional feeding. I was thinking I would use a quiet manual one more than a louder electric one. I will also go with the Medela electric pump if the manual one isn't working well enough.

UGH!! I'm so angry about this topic. I was planning on primarily breastfeeding, so we went for the Playtex double electric breast pump. It said for long term occasional use, and I use it very occasionally. It worked for like the first week or two, and now when I try to use it, even while filled to the rim with milk, it wont pump it out. Babies R Us wont take back breast pumps since they are personal hygiene products, so I will be contacting Playtex for a refund and send it back to them. Its horrible, and I am regretting very much now not spending a little bit extra on the Medela! I knew when I bought it that I should get the Medela.
