Night Sweats?

I have been having quite bad night sweats over the past few nights wher i wake up and feel so wet all around my chest and stomach.

I have read it can be common in breast feeding mothers so has anyone else had this?

Thanks!

Yes, I get it,its a nightmare-I wake up drenched. I originally thought that I had the heating on too high but then read a thread in postnatal support where loads of other people said they had it too. Apparantly its quite common.

Yeah I get that too it's horrible - I find I have to wash my pyjamas all the time these days whereas I used to get a bit longer out of them. It seems to be getting a bit better recently though I think.

I wonder when it might stop, it is getting a bit much washing bed sheets every day as our dryer just packed in too. I still wouldn't change it for the world though!!

Yup! Me too. I wake up drenched in the wee small hours. Apparently it's to do with oestrogen levels and the milk production being at a peak between the hours of 1 and 5am. Ah well, I see it as a positive thing that everything is going as it should be.

Ahh!! I didn't know this was the cause! I had this too in the early weeks and wasn't really sure why, was so annoying. I kept saying to OH, it's too hot in here, Eve must be too hot!!

Has all gone now though.. still exclusively breastfeeding..

Thanks ladies, learn something new everyday!

Oo I'd completely forgotten about this.
Didn't last more than a few weeks
