Is there a problem with my milk in one breast?

For about the last 5 days I have noticed that where as my right boob will get very full and engorged when a feed is due my left side is no longer doing this and is always very soft instead of going firm and lumpy.

There still appears to be milk coming from this breast and baby feeds fine from it but its got me wondering why it doesnt fill up the way the other one does? Is my milk going to dry up in this breast? I just dont understand!

Is it normal or is there something wrong?

I'm the same, for about 4 weeks now one boob is significantly bigger than the other. I'm sure it's fine and just one side has regulated itself more, or does your baby have a preferred side - the bigger one?

Well he has been feeding better off the one thats more engorged but only since the other one has been less full - so that makes me think there is a problem?

Very strange, he's always fed off both sides regularly so dont understand why this would happen

Thanks for reply x

I have one side that makes much more milk than the other. My sis is a NICU nurse and said it's pretty common.

I have always seemed to get more from my left than my right. And oddly enough, when I was pregnant the left side always got shooting pains so I guess there must be some connection with that. Emma prefers the left over the right as well. I think it's perfectly normal!
