That's brilliant! Hopefully he will do the same tonight!! Two feeds is a huge improvement on getting up six times with him!

Glad your last night went better.

I'm curious - do you mean he didn't have any naps after 4 pm? How did you keep him awake? How many naps did he have that day?

I'm wondering if I should try that too. I'm really exhausted.... I was up with my LO 5 times last night. I need some more sleep!

Well, tonight he slept a bit less good. But still pretty good. He woke up for a feed from 7pm when he went to sleep till 7am this morning just 3 times. Which I think is a good improvement.

I again didn't let him go for naps after 4pm.

Zeri - yes, I don't let him nap after 4 pm. He isn't a fussy baby so as long as he is being held or entertined he is fine. He is strange like that. Even when he is really tired he woukdn't cry and the only way I can see he is tired is by him having reddish eyes.

He sleeps as much as he wants during the first half of the day and has his last nap around 3pm...

MrsQ - thank for replying hun. Yes, tried swaddeling, worked fine until a month ago when he stopped liking it...

At least now he goes to bed at 7!! (instead of 9) and has 3-4 feeds until he wakes up at 7 am (HUGE improvement!)

My LO is the same - he won't nap if theres something interesting going off but you can tell he's tired because of red eyes.

I can only get him napping during the day on breast. though he does sleep fine at night.

one thing i did do before i started expressing was stopped feeding from one breast at say 4pm, and fed from the 'used' breast up to bed time, then offered the 'full' breast when settling to sleep - it worked wonders for us.

now i express before i go to bed - as i prefer to be empty (less leakage iykwim) he goes at about 7.30-8pm (used to be 9.30) and i express before going to bed between 10-11pm and i offer that about an hr before his bedtime (he won't tolerate a bottle if i offer it when he's too tired) then feed him and put him to sleep drowsy but awake (so he knows where he's going and doesn't wake somewhere strange)

Fingers crossed he keeps up the good work.
