tipsy baby

Sometimes after quite a long feed my LO looks almost drunk, high even lol. He just looks kinda groggy. He usually falls asleep at the breast but not so much now. He'll feed for longer and then be so full you can hear the milk gurgling in his tummy and he literally looks tipsy. Is anyone elses LO like this or do I just have a bit of milk junkie on my hands xx

Yup, Isobelle is the same. Usually after breakfast and again at her evening feed... its sooo funny and Ive tried to capture the moment in photographs but it just doesnt come across at all.

She rarely falls asleep during feeding now so I lie her on my thighs and she's happily 'drunk' for at least 30 mins

Rowan was just the same. After a good feed, she'd fall off the breast like a ripe plum off a branch, and lie there with her little face covered in milk, looking like Buddha after a really heavy Saturday night.

I remember my oldest used to make a funny happy groan as he drifted off afterwards! I think it was his way of saying "Aaaw min, am aaf ma heid!!!"

at all the descriptions! My LO used to do this when he was younger but not anymore. It's so cute! We do have a good photo of his milk drunk state but I don't think he will thank us for it when he's older!.

I love the milk drunk look, it makes the painful latch worth it every time

I was once told by a breastfeeding nurse that the way to know she got a good feed is when she acts drunk from it. She gets these lazy eyes and will lay her head on my shoulder and look around like she is in such ecstasy.
