I'm not sure there is a strict definition - although I'm sure somebody will let me know if I'm wrong

I always thought most people considered over 12months to be extended but since George turned 6 months I have been refered to as an extended BF'er locallly - I certainly don't consider myself to be one though!

I think I would still consider over about 12-15months to be extended BF'g although as the WHO recommmends breastmilk unti 2years there is also an arguement that BF'g only becomes extended over and above 2 years./

I always had it in my head that it was beyond one year although like joeyjo, alot of people seem to consider me to be an extended feeder now

I would say beyond 2 years seeing as it is recommended by WHO to BF for a minimum of 2years.
However like most it seems that people consider "extended" past one year and some consider it 'extended' if anything past 6 months (crazy!)

Depends what you believe, tbh. If you believe in self weaning then there's no such thing

I guess I have always thought it's beyond 12 months but I agree, technically should be 2 years plus
