So Happy and Proud

I had a very tough time getting set up with breastfeeding, my nipples were ripped up the third day and I almost gave up. The pain continued for weeks and the cracks weren't healing. Finally got diagnosed with thrush and got treated. So at 5 weeks I'm here after just enjoying feeding him for the first time .

I got him weighed this morning and he's putting on a full 8oz a week. I'm so happy! So glad I stuck it out. It was so easy at 5am to just reach out for him in his basket and bring him into bed with me to feed and all 3 of us to get a decent night's sleep (we had been putting on the light to make sure the latch was as good as possible when I had thrush).

I'm also feeling proud of my little boy, don't really know why but it's there!

Ahh... That's fantastic!!! You have done sooo well do stick at it. Many would have given in. Isn't it just the best feeling in the world when you get told they are putting on weight so well. It's like, I did that Makes me feel sooo proud! x
