A firm rub and pat does the trick. My lo usually gets any wind up quickly so I don't do it for very long. Also bf babies don't tend to get too much wind.

You can tell if they do have it tho as they tend to fuss at the boob, draw there legs up, grunt and sometimes go a litle blueish around the mouth. x

As above!

Breastfeeding babies are really good for not having too much wind. Some will fart while feeding - that counts as being winded some wont get wind. i find patting works better than rubbing but every abby is different. watch out for the fussing signs and also a pail/grey space inbetween babys top lip and nose its a classic sign of wind!

My LO's quite a windy baby and has a good old burp after every feed. Putting her on your shoulder and walking about/bouncing gently can bring the wind up if other ways aren't working. If you don't get anything up, leave it for 15 mins or so then try again

Some breast fed babies do still get a lot of wind though.
You will know if wind is a problem, if your LO is in discomfort with it or won't settle then you will know you need to wind for longer.
If wind is an issue for your LO you will become expert on all of the many different winding positions.
