hello everyone

im new to this forum my baby is three weeks old and i have been feeling like my baby is attached to my breast all the time and getting comments from people like i should be getting her in a routine of every three hours people on the baby forum have told me to come here for support as they do feed all the time in the first six weeks. does anyone else find this really annoying though for example when people come to visit to see her and she is just wanting my boob all the time no one gets a chance to hold her!

My lo went through a huge growth spurt at 3 weeks i was feeding for 40 minuites every hour and ahalf! it was soooooooo frustrating! but it doesnt last too long and things will calm down again. Theres not much you can do about people not being able to hold her because shes feeding. They should be coming to see you too

It was the same for me. Don't worry tho because it does get less soon. Don't worry what othe people say. It's rubbish that she should be in routine at that age. People who say that have usually bottle fed which is totally different. There are thickeners in formula that keeps baby fuller for longer but not the case with breast milk. It goes through them so much faster meaning they need more. The in laws drove me mad at first, they couldn't understand feeding on demand and kept suggesting I switch o formula. Grrr. Keep up the good work and don't worry about people holding lo, nutrition comes first.x

That said how oftern do you switch boobs as this can make a differance if lo is not getting enough of the thick creamy milk.
