Nice not only to 'meet' others from Plymouth/Devon but also others who are BFing that live here!

Does make me sad that its not the norm but very proud I've managed it!

We should meet somewhere and scare the locals by BFing en mass! Did that with 2 other friends when W was about 12 weeks old, all 3 of us started feeding in the cafe at the top of Drakes Circus!
That's where I fed in public for the first time!

A quick update....my book arrived about a week ago and it is brilliant!! I have been trying to read some of it every night. I can not recommend it highly enough a must for everyone wanting to do BLW.xx

Yep we got it and i've read it- i do think it's a bit repetitive but definitely worth a read for those who are considering BLW.

I still haven't told anyone except you lot, and my best friend, that we're even thinking of doing BLW, i can imagine it's going to go down like a lead balloon among family members (both my own and OH's)

Not that it's any of their beeswax...but whereas OH just says "Yep that's what we're doing, deal with it..." and let's the comments wash over him like water off a duck's back, if people start questioning my choices i get a bit pissed off/upset

I find it very hard when people don't understand as well hun. I think my Mum is grasping the idea better now (and I threw away the baby rice she had the other day too) and my partner knows that I will not tolerate his parents going agaist our wishes either.

I just can't wait for them to all see the positive results it will have on Elliott.x

I found the article on ask dr sears really helpful - it explained the gut walls don't go through 'closure' til after 6 months... so foods before then leak through and that can lead to food sensitivities etc..

Rebaby - they'll soon change their mind when they see a 7/8 month old baby tucking into a roast there on a sunday with absolute gusto!
