Nice not only to 'meet' others from Plymouth/Devon but also others who are BFing that live here!

Does make me sad that its not the norm but very proud I've managed it!

We should meet somewhere and scare the locals by BFing en mass! Did that with 2 other friends when W was about 12 weeks old, all 3 of us started feeding in the cafe at the top of Drakes Circus!

We BLW'd and it was absolutely brilliant for us.. Where ever we go people comment that our toddler will eat anything we put infront of her (well, mainly anything, lol!) and she has such a variety of foods!

Plus, from an anecdotal point of view, I love the fact her first main meal was a roast dinner and her second meal was chilli con carne with rice!! She adores hot and spicy food (and eats fajitas that are very hot with absolute gusto) and completely blows out of the water the thing that you're not meant to give hot/spicy food to babies.. I craved chilli while pg with her and ate loads of it while bf so she was already well used to it by the time she ate it!

You say you go to latch-on....are you in Plymouth by any chance?! I sometimes go to the one on Fridays at Nomony if you are :-)

Re banana test - William hates bananas! Still eats toast, bread, peach, pear, nectarine, veggies, rice cakes, yoghurt......... :-)

Candyfloss - are there many people there who take toddlers too? I might mooch along when this one's here! I've only just stopped bf my toddler in the last 10 days/2 weeks but it's always useful to get tips when bf a newborn again I guess!

It seems to vary each time I go! When I first went when William was about 5 weeks old, he was the youngest there by about 6 months! Some of the BF supporters take their toddlers there quite often, there's a variety of toys and things in the room and helpers so I'm sure your older LO would be entertained :-)

Is that the old church on the roundabout, or somewhere else?
Is there parking?

Its the big blue building just past Cattedown roundabout...saying that, I'd never noticed it before! Not going to be able to go for a few weeks, helping my parents move house......! Would be good to meet you there sometime though :-)

Theres parking on the road, I live at the top of Greenbank Rd so have always walked there but others seem to park no problem outside.

Lovely, I'll pop along once I'm up and about after she's born!

i have the book too. we're doing a combo of blw @ 6mths n have started giving Harry 1-2 teaspoons of organic baby porridge (which he feeds himself with a spoon with, mso I have no doubt he is ready for solids at 5mths- we started last week at 20/21 weeks old) today he a a plain rusk & he loved it. we plan to experiment with various foods for the next 4 weeks, then go full steam ahead with 'true' blw after that.

It's on the opposite side of the road to the church hun, just before you get to the roundabout (if you have come along Gydnia Way). Access to it is from the back of Exeter Street I think I may try and come along one week. Always nice to meet new people.

My book arrived today and at first glance it looks brilliant !! Can't wait to get reading more.xx
