Can you breast feed completely on your back?

I'm curious, and I want to know if you can breast feed on your back with the baby on top of you? I've heard of side breast feeding. Sounds lazy, but comfortable, all at the same time.

Ok, I was curious & just tried & failed miserably, lol!!! He just kinda face planted into my boob & didn't have the strength to push up so he could actually breathe!!! I'm guessing probably not in younger babies would be the answer, but maybe if their head is turned more to the side & your nipple is pointing kinda low, or if the child is older & can figure out how to hold themselves & their weight up, then it might work?

Like that...minus the room full of people, the baby crawl, etc. On another note, her stomach was as flat as hell!

I can feed almost on my back, but need a pillow below me so I'm slightly on my side. The benefits of absolutely enormous boobs!

He does like to feed lying on top of me now, or kneeling by the side of me, or standing next to me, or standing on the floor, or upside down and any random position he can get into!
