Night time growth spurt?

Hi, over the last three days Kaya has been wanting to feed and suckle all the time, so I'm wondering if she's having a growth spurt. The only thing that makes me question it is that she's only doing it at night when we're in bed This means that I'm struggling to get much sleep. Has anyone ever experienced this?

Marley, I had and still have exactly the same problem over the last month

Juleika woke/wakes constantly at night, about every two hours and I became a monster as of sleep deprivation (poor OH!!!)

like you, I wasn't entirely sure why!

firstly, I thought she wakes as she is itching 'cos of the rash she had! well, the rash is gone now and she is not itching anymore

secondly, I thought she got used to waking up and having mummys boobs just right under her nose, as we had her in bed with us constantly since she had the rash!

and the other two options what I am thinking of, are that during the day she isn't eating enough as she needs to absorb everything around her + she is physically more active, or she really is ready for weaning as her appetite seems to be huge nowadays

sorry, I am not of help at the moment as I also still try to figure out what exactly it is!

I just know, that Juleika is waking constantly during the night since about a month, so possibly no growth spurt?

ps: I stopped weaning her again as I though, alright I will try to stick to the milk for some longer

but now, I am really in doubt if the milk solely is still sufficient for her

They say there is a growth spurt around 4 months ish so it could well be that. Tom hit it around 4 1/2 months and Charlotte a couple of weeks later and it was hellish! I weaned them at that point and things were a lot happier from then on for all of us.

I also decided to wean Juleika now, considering she is almost five month already

alos 'cos if you wait until six month you have to introduce so many different foods at once, whereas now I still have time for first tastes and see how she responds to all the new tastes without worrying if she doesn't like sth.

by the time she is six month I will already have an overview about her favourites first tastes and can go on with other stuff

I think it makes it a lot easier! as well as it is possibly not good for their digestive system, if they get introduced to so many foods in short time

Well, she was a bit more settled last night, so I think it was a growth spurt (touch wood lol). I'm going for baby led weaning, so until she's able to pick up food and put it in her mouth, she aint getting anything other than milk lol. Besides, I don't think she's ready for solids just yet.
