Thumbs down

1 week

Well i've decided that if this fenugreek doesn't work within a week that i'm not going to pump anymore. Ever since the beginning i've been fighting to get my milk in and it's just not working anymore. I'm on motilium and im eating and drinking and pumping.
I've never been producing alot and i'm really struggling. I've never been engorged and haven't produced more than 4oz at a time. I'm at the end of my rope and it would just be one less thing to worry about.
It sucks but then id be able to buy a normal sey bra and my nipples won't hurt anymore LOL
I've done what I can for almost 5 months. So we'll c what happens

Don't feel bad Steph, 5 months is a long time of trying! You've done a great job keeping it up this long, a lot of girls would have given up a long time ago. If it doesn't work out, it doesn't work out. Either way, Angel will be just fine

You may need a large flange for your expresser if you're experiencing discomfort.

hugs hun, you have done amazingly well, i couldn't last 2days of exclusive pumping. you have given your daughter an amazing start, the benefits of breastmilk with preemies is well documented. if the fenugreek doesn't help and you decide to stop then feel proud of yourself and treat yourself to a lovely bra.

Don't get down Steph! The fenugreek should help some for sure. I'm currently taking it too. Have you talked to a lactation consultant at all recently.

Even if/when you decide to stop pumping hun you gave it a great shot!!! It's not as easy as people may think.

As for other things you could try..."Mother's Milk Tea"

Also: have a look at this link: http://www.kellymom.com/bf/pumping/p..._decrease.html
