Worried about breatsfeeding Again

Not sure if this is the place to ask, but hoping someone may have some suggestions.
When I had my son 15years ago I attempted breastfeeding and had much trouble and by 4 month my dr was saying go to baby food and start formula. they eventually told me my boobs were to big and my nipples to small to nurse.
Im now pregnant with my second and really want to try and breastfeed, but Im worried about having the same issues.
Has anyone else gone thru this at all?

aparently you can bf what ever type of boobs you have. Im suprised yr dr told u that as even ppl wit inverted nips can bf. Tech it should b easier 2 with small nips as the baby can get more of the areola in his mouth. with big boobs howver, you may find the rigby ball position, i find this a god sent as i cant do any other position yet! x

I can't understand why your doc said that. There is loads of support out there to help you establish BF. I have small nipples and my boobs became humungous after my LO was born and after a shaky start we have no problems with BF. Your MW would be the best people to help you with this, when you are in hospital they are great to help show you different positions and give you some moral support.

I have big huge bosooms and was breast feeding Abby at 31 weeks (she was 11 weeks early) My boob was about 3 times the size of her head, she still managed it.

Get yourself a good BF counsellor locally, go to your BF classes before you give birth, you'll find a load of support there.
