| Ibuprofen and breastfeeding Hi ladies,
Just wondering if anyone knows whether you can take ibuprofen whilst breastfeeding? Can't remember if you can take it or not! Many thanks xxx | | | | Status: Offline

| From what I've read, the answer is yes you can, but small traces do pass over in your milk I think. | | | | Status: Offline

| Acetominophen is better, but yes, you can. I just had 4 teeth pulled and was chompin' on them like candy for 2 days Its safe, though a bit does get into your milk. They don't recommend taking it for more than 3 days straight at 4 tablets of 500g a day... | | | | Status: Offline

| HI,
While I was in hospital after having LO, the midwife was offering me Ibuprofen 3 times a day (fior stitches etc) and they knew I was BF so I don't imagine there's anything wrong with takin it if midwives are offering it

| I had a c section and was on massive doses of ibuprofen for the first several days (in addition to perkoset). It was fine. Now I try to avoid it if I can, but don't feel bad if I HAVE to sneak a dose here and there. | | | | Status: Online

| I had a section and was on 3 doses a day for at least 8 weeks and was all prescribed etc by m/w's doctors etc who knew I was exclusively bf-ing, so am sure it's fine! | | | | Status: Offline
