When i fed my son i was very kindly shown several ways by the ward midwife in hospital.

She was really good at showing me this position and i did all my night feeds this way and found it so comfy i did it often when visiting my mum on the living room floor!!

It always seemed to work out that i would need to fed from the left breast and so i'd whip him out the travel cot at the bottom of the bed and pop him on then go back to sleep . I would love these feeds the most!

I found it easier to just lift my breast cupping it and move baby close to me and gently ease the breast down towards his mouth.

Hope you master it!!

Rebecca.

When we do lying down feeds i lay with one arm above his head then i roll towards him and lop the boob towards his open mouth. I place a pillow behind him incase he rolls too quickly..saying that, hes never had an issue with latching..even with using bottles as well
