Linds sleeps 5 hrs straight at the beginning of the night, but since she turned 5 months old has been waking again after 3hrs in the 2nd half of the night. YAWN. She slept better when she was newborn!!! I'd get nearly 9hrs out of her until she was about 4 months old and then she started teething and it all went to pot
She's exclusively breastfed (i.e. no formula YET) and I've introduced solids since 6.5 months. So still waiting really... ...

My daughter sleeps about 10 hours a night now without waking for a feed. I think she wakes once or twice in that time but normally sucks her hand until she falls back to sleep.

I was bed sharing with her so I ended up trying to feed her too often and took me a little while to figure out which wakings were actually for food. Once I figured that out, she soon dropped the actual feedings and now sleeps through.

Wow - can I ask how regularly she feeds in the day and for how long? Also what time she goes down and do you wake for a 10pm ish feed or dream feed? Sorry for all the questions

Lol no problem! She feeds quite often during the day. The length of feeds varies - I'd say big ones are around 20mins while she also has really quick ones which are just a few mins. When she cluster feeds in the evening it could be an hour or more on and off.

We have a flexible routine which is led by her really. She seems to cluster feed in the mornings maybe having three feeds within the first hour and a half that she is up. Then she has a long nap (Sometimes she wakes herself after 2 hours, if not I wake her after 3).

For the rest of the day she feeds somewhere between every hour to every three hours, it really just depends. If she is out and about she seems to feed less frequently - especially if she's in the sling - than she does at home.

She has another nap in the late afternoon for about an hour (can be half an hour, can be an hour and a half - just depends).

We snuggle on the sofa from 7pm and she cluster feeds again.

She used to go down for her long night time sleep around 8pm, but recently she has been awake until 10pm. This is a bit of a bummer because it means OH and I aren't getting 'alone time' together like we were, but she seems so awake I haven't tried 'making' her go to sleep earlier yet. (I should probably get up earlier in the morning haha - that might help!). I'm pretty sure she enjoys going to bed with OH and I (we go at 10pm too - so just now the three of us go together) because night time is the only time I put her down awake and she goes to sleep. During the day I feed her to sleep

She gets up for the day any time between 7.30am and 9.30am. Today though we both slept in until 10.45!! Oops!!

I'd say her 'best' times (when she seems most chatty and active) are first thing in the morning, and between 8 and 10pm now.

I don't wake her for a dream feed. I tried but she wouldn't feed

She has between 9 and 13 feeds a day (I had started recording them looking for a pattern lol... but stopped a few days ago).

We co-slept using a co-sleeping cot and gradually moved her further away from me (I slept better that way) until she started moving around (she was turning, so ended up lying horizontal instead of vertical, if that makes sense... I was worried about her head going under my covers). Now she sleeps with her cot right beside our bed, at the same level as our mattress, but with the side up.

I don't drink any caffeine (dunno if that makes a difference?), and our room is quite cold at night. She wears a sleeping bag, long leg body suit, pj top, and has a cellular blanked over her folded in half.

She slept 9 hours last night, from 10pm until 7.10am. (then slept in after that d'oh!).

Now I have said all that - she'll probably wake a hundred times tonight hahaha (she does sometimes wake more often, but hasn't for quite a while now).

My LO hit 11 pounds by about 4 weeks old. He's 4 months now and weighs 21 lbs. He still wakes every 2-3 hours. 4 hours when I am lucky. Same during the day -- every few hours. He averages 8 feeds a day, give or take one. He's showing no signs of extending that routine. He's been doing it that way for probably half his little life.

Drat it!
