Boohoo! :(

My LO just isn't interested in me feeding him anymore
I knew it was on it's way... he was just taking less and less. The last few nights I have tried and he wasn't bothered taking little bits but not much, so last night and tonight he had a glass of cows milk before bed and off he went. So I guess that is me done
I feel so emotional and really quite sad, but on the other hand I am very proud of us both and pleased we made it so far! Just wished I could have kept on going for a while longer!
Oh well, time to start TTC number 2 me thinks!!!
Thank you to everyone in this part of the forum for your help, advice and support. xx

Dear Didda Well done on a year of breastfeeding! In our society, that is a massive, wonderful achievement; your milk will set your baby up for the rest of his life. Congratulations!

It sounds like you were expecting and anticipating the end of nursing. But do you think it could be a nursing strike? http://www.askdrsears.com/faq/bf6.asp If you don't want to stop nursing, and you would like to continue (the WHO recommends breastfeeding for at least two years) then this is overcomable, and could be just a temporary set back in your breastfeeding relationship. But of course, if you actively want your LO to stop, then it's a wonderfully gentle way to cease to feed.

Melanie
