If she doesn't take bottles of EBM by the time I go back to work...

I'm going to make husband use one of these: http://www.expressyourselfmums.co.uk...g-System%20%20

I'm only half kidding... She screamed for half an hour when he tried to feed her earlier.

I'm having the same troubles... I even left the house and she still won't take the bottle. Just cried herself to sleep How will I go back to work if she won't eat?

Somehow in our society we think all babies need bottles! But many, many babies bypass bottles altogether and go straight to sippy cups about 4mo. You can even use a cup to feed a newborn although that's rarely a good idea as they can confuse the sucking technique. Is there no way you can stay with your baby for a bit longer? Work with baby, work nights, work at home, work for short intervals and have baby come to you for feedings?

Aimees the same, we have to walk around with her for ages gently bouncing her and talking while she screams, then after a while she takes it, BUT guzzles so halfway thru we stop her to wind her (otherwise she brings the lot back up) then she wont have the rest lool

i gave up trying to be honest, it stresses me and her out, thinking of doin what rob de niro had in meet the fockers and making a portable boob pmsl

We've given up too - it was just causing everyone stress every night.

My LO refused the bottle for a long time, we persevered, then she took it a few times, we were delighted, then she refused again every time after that

I think it'll be straight to cup for us - but we'll see.

I have to return to work when she is 7 months so we do have some time, but there is no way I will be able to see her at all between the hours of 8am and 5pm while I am working. And I have to work to pay the bills. So somehow, we will just have to manage.

I'm a teacher so working nights isn't an option, and if there was any way I could leave it longer I would be! I am a bit sensitive about this... I'm not going back so we can have treats and nicer things, I'm going back so we can pay the rent. In this economy I am lucky to have a stable job.

We have tried cups but most of it goes down her... She shows no interest in it at all. A beaker sometimes works but again is hit and miss and she screams because she just wants mummy. It is actually breaking my heart and if there was ANY way around going back I would take it.

She'll be on solids by then petal so even if she still refuses bottles during the day she can have 'sloppy' foods during the day so she still gets enough liquid and can just suck you dry all the time you're at home!
