rice cereal?

so my little one was 3 months on wednesday and tonight i gave her a few spoonfuls of rice cereal

, they say 4 months --- but i started my older DD at this time. anyone else start this early?

It's actually recommended to wait until 6mo now

I would read through these things before deciding to wean earlier than that just so you're fully aware of the risks and you can make your own choice on what's best

We did start my oldest around 3 almost 4mo old because it was the recommendation but with my 2nd we waited until 5 almost 6mo and my 3rd was 6mo but didn't eat until 9mo

Great question I'm so confused my lo just turned 3 months a week ago and all the aunties are hounding me to start rice cereal. I did it very runny twice yesterday morning and evening from a spoon only because he's my first and they have 5 children between them so I figured they must be doing something right. I was shocked that he did so well with the spoon so young I have not tried it again tbh I'm afraid of hurting him or causing him some kind of stomach issues... This is so hard.
I'm going to read the information in the links to see if that gives me a bit more clarity.

No, I started at 6 months with my boys. My baby girl is 5 months old now and I gave her her first cereal 2 days ago.

I'm planning to wait till around 6 months but it depends on when Harvey seems ready. I don't see the point on starting with solids when he's doing just fine on breast milk. All babies are different though and if I thought Harvey was ready then I'd certainly have a chat with the hv.
