How do I stop the milk supply?

As per my other thread, I am having to stop BF due to my baby having lactose intolerance. Her new formula is like a miracle cure so I need to get rid of the milk.

I have just been given an electric pump which is fab but I have reverted to the manual one as I don't want to stimulate production and I think the electric one is so effective it won't help get the milk to go.

My boobs are massive and hard, sore to touch. I have expressed a little, maybe 3oz each side this morning and tonight. Should I be emptying them? How do I get the milk to go and how long will it take? Will my boobs shrink as I am loving the 34GG's!!!

You should pump just enough to relieve discomfort. Emptying your breasts will maintain/increase your supply. I've heard Cabbage leaves help, but I have not tried it myself. Ice can ease the discomfort as well.
Good luck!

Your milk will dry up on its own...

The more you pump, the longer it will take.

Like the PP said - only pump enough to relieve discomfort. And I would even try to avoid that - unless they are REALLY hurting...
