surely breastmilk isnt enough for them?

well the twins are still bf throught the day and 2 bottles at night. if im desperate to get something done around the flat or go out they have 1 bottle in the day but when i bf them there is no break between feeds. i dont for example, feed them at 1 then they feed again at 3. they litterally go on my lap in the morning and that is it, theyre there the rest of the day and night. ill let them feed for over an hout till the come off the breast themselves and go to sleep but as soon as i move them they are screaming the place down for more. they used to fall asleep on my lap and go a couple hours between feeds but not anymore. if i do give the a ff in the afternoon theyll sleep from 1 till about 5 or 6 but from then theyll feed non stop from 6 till 10. i only get 3 oz out of each side when i pump and thats if theyre engorged and sore. if they have a bottle they will have 6 or 7 oz! ive tried feeding them little and often with a bottle but as soon as theyve had some they want more. i do not want to stop bf any time soon but i really dont think its satisfying them at all. i thought about taking fenugreek but i dont know much about it, what is it and where do you get it from?

I am no expert hun but wonder if they are trying to increase your supply by feeding for so long when you are bf? you might be better off not giving them a bottle during the day? only an idea as i say cos i am new to this too!

katie was alwas like that! at 2 months ish they go thru a growth spurt aswell, so they'll be feeding more. but your (.Y.)s increase their supply due to demand, so if you stick with it they'll produce more! i know its really really hard and sometimes you feel like you're not getting a break at all, but it does get easier! they're clever things boobs, they were designed to feed your babies after all! that said tho, if you do end up switching to FF, dont feel bad about it, i beat myself up for ages about it, but katie stopped gaining weight and wasnt happy, so it was the best thing for us!!xx

^^ agree with alice that it's more than likely a growth spurt
