Having similar trouble Robyn is 7 months and waking about every 2-3 hours at night, is on 3 meals.
I really don't want to go down the cry it out or controlled crying route as i have a Hubby who drives 100+ miles every day and my son at school.. so cant be having them tired, or up half the night with her crying.

My son woke up every 1-2 hours for a long long time. Still does some nights. Trust me wen I say I tried everything to help him sleep, and nothing really worked for us. Some babies just are bad sleepers.

We have this problem atm too. Does your LO fall asleep on the breast all the time? Jack does and so has never really learned to get himself back to sleep without boob. We've given the No Cry Sleep Solution a brief try and I got very disheartened by lack of results in a week but his sleep has gotten worse lately so I'm going to give it another try and persevere for longer!

I have the same problem and havent been able to solve it yet I have tried to make sure he naps during the day so he doesnt get overtired and to try to fill him up before bedtime but it isnt helping.

I still have this problem I'm afriad. Last night she decided she wanted to get up at 3.30am. It took me 2 hours to get her back down in her cot and asleep. They'll grow out of it eventually. Don't think it's anything to do with breastfeeding as they won't be hungry every 2 hours, some babies are just like that.

OH! God this is awful to say, but I'm glad mine's not the only one... Ive just come to realize she's not hungry at those intervals, cause i can rock her back to sleep. I think she just needs closeness/comfort but I need SLEEP!!! Really hope this doesn't last too much longer, she was such a good sleeper when she was first born?!!? go figure!!!
from another sleep deprived mummy!

This may be controversial....

But with my babies I would put them in bed with me and let them feed until we both fell asleep. They'd often stay latched on all night... (My post birth boobs were large and saggy enough so I could lie down, put baby next to me and they could feed without any support)

Could be making a rod for your own back but it worked for me... (OH HATED it).

We're strict with kids being in their own beds now (They're 6 & 4) and it doesn't seem to have done them any harm....
