Increased milk production?

Emma is 2 1/2 weeks old and in the past 2 days, I think my milk production has increased fairly dramatically. Is this normal? I wake up at night before she does because my breasts are so full and starting to hurt. During the day, the same thing happens. Emma is still eating every 3 hours or so during the day and 4-5 hours at night. This has been fairly consistent since her birth.

Has anyone else experienced this?

That all sounds normal at your stage - you're doing really well hon!

Maybe she went through a growth spurt, and her sucking increased the supply..It will fluctuate like that..that's cool though!

She had a 1:00 a.m. feed last night and then didn't wake up again until 8:00 a.m.

I thin my left boob weighed about 10 lbs by that point!

Felt the same as Day3 when I was engorged!

Sometimes Ilana will sleep for up to 8 hours... it's great but my boobs are like rocks afterwards!!!
