LO crying before latching on??

I can't figure out what's going on with Rocco. The past few days whenever I go to feed him, he cries before he latches on, and while he's trying to latch on. I never let him get too fussy before I feed him because I don't want him so upset he can't latch on. But even when he's been at his most upset he still can!
Yesterday at one point he cried for ten minutes, and the only thing that settled him was his pacifier. Could it be teething? He doesn't want to eat cause it hurts?? My mom suggested that because he's getting bigger, the position I feed him in is uncomfortable now?? I did notice that last night my husband had him, I got all prepared on the couch and he brought him to me and laid him across the pillow and he was ok. I'm feeding him right now and it took him about 15 seconds of crying to calm down and latch on and he's fine!! Eating like a little piggy! Lol
any ideas?

Alex has been exact;y the same in the past couple of weeks. Some feeds are fine, but sometimes he fusses over a feed and the other night he cried 20 minutes straight before I managed to calm him down...

I don't know what causes it either, as I reckon it's too early for Alex to teeth...

Let's hope someone has advice for us, as it is sooo disstressing & my let-down becomes nearly impossible when he is like that

Sorry you are both going through this. It's really distressing and made me so upset, I dreaded feeding her when she did this. In Poppy's case, it was either due to wind or due to the reflux she suffered slightly with.

Could this be the case for your boys?

I don't know. He doesn't have reflux as far as we know. I thought maybe it was gas because he would stop crying when I put him over my shoulder but only for a few seconds. He hasn't done it today luckily. He did whine because I wasn't taking my boob out quickly enough but he always does that! He's impatient and wants his food NOW! Just like his Daddy! Lol
