Really worried.....

Okay so i ff aiden but have decided too give bf a go with this bub as i regret not doing it with aiden but i have one concern that is freaking me out...

I got out hospital the same day with aiden and i hate hospitals and i am really worried that i will have too stay in this time because i am breastfeeding!

My fear is that bad that if this is the case i am not going to breast feed as i dont want too be in hospital i want too be at home with my OH & aiden where i should be.

Any advice ladies??

i breastfeed James and I had him at 9.30am and was at home by 9 on the evening, As long as he/she latches on and you can show the midwives that and you have no other problems you should be able to go. Oh I had to have a wee aswell before the let me go.

I was discharged after one overnight stay. I had LO at 8:40pm, and stayed overnight as I had an induction due to pre-eclampsia, an epidural and medication reactions. I was able to level as soon as I was well enough because I was able to explain the support I had in place, and my plan for feeding. LO didn't latch in hospital, but they let me leave as I was stying with my Mum, who is a breastfeeding counsellor, and I had an action plan (expressing) if he didn't latch.

i had a cesarian so i was in longer than i was with dd but i was out the next day with her and i breastfed her. they will want to make sure they are feeding well but i doubt theyll make u stay in. i am breastfeeding my twins and they didnt make me stay in and we had problems as they had low blood sugar and were having 2 hourly blood test so even with that they didnt keep me in longer than usual. i totally understand u wanting to get home to ur oh and ur son, all i wanted was to go home and be with my oh and dd but if you really want to give bf a go then try and concentrate on the fact that even if they did keep you in itd only be a cpl of days and bf is so good for your baby, even if its just for a few days/weeks youll b giving them the best start. just give it your best shot hun, good luck

I had LO at 00:40 and i was home by 6pm that day. I just had to show that he was feeding okay, and he had to have a wet and dirty nappy and they were fine to let me go.
